Do Affiliate Marketers Have To This Bad?
Affiliate marketing business is ghastly becoming one of the most abused Internet marketing businesses you can possibly think of. I know. I know…can you just believe the kind of stuff we as affiliate marketers sometimes publish out there!
From the visitor’s point of view, it is just unbelievable what we get to see, read and watch in videos posted on some of those affiliates sites. If for a moment you could step out and stand aside as a bystander and then try to fathom, read and watch all that is passing by and coming from affiliate marketers:
- You will be flabbergasted.
I will bet that you will read or watch unbelievable and outrageous claims that will just make you go like…you are right! Believe me, most of the stuff you get to see as a bystander will pretty much sound like what is happening on in the video below. Click play to watch the video before we go on with our discussion.
Extended Car Warranty from Adrian Chen on Vimeo.
You must not make your affiliate marketing efforts sound like on the video above.
So how are you going to be able to not sound like our friend on the video above?
First recognize that it is indeed real and smart people that will get to read your published posts.
Every time before you publish you post, think for a moment, read it loud and ask yourself, how will this post and the message therein sound like when read by someone else?
- Is it beneficial?
- Is it informative?
- Is it going to help someone?
- Does it convey my intended message?
- Will the post make you/me sound stupid?
There is nothing wrong with promoting products to your audience.
We see it all the time, from the time we wake up, when we buy a cup of coffee, when we fill our gas tanks, at our place of work or at educational institutions and just about any activity and social place we gather. Everywhere you turn, selling is always going on.
Individuals, companies and institutions are always in a perpetual process of promoting their services and products and so are affiliate marketers. It’s normal to promote the best affiliate marketing products but we must do it in a remarkable way.
Now, what is wrong though is to abuse the way you go about promoting affiliate marketing products. Money should be a motivation factor but earning money alone should not be the means and end or the chief reason to be an affiliate marketer. Taking this approach, I belief will make one sound stupid just as seen in the video above because you end up promoting any Tom and Harry and you know what – that is not good.
- Not good for the advancement of your affiliate marketing business.
- Not good to your readers and not good for your own self worth.
As my final though, affiliate marking really should not be turned to be this bad, Even though it seems most affiliate marketers have succeeded in abusing and making this internet profession sound that crazy, that is no reason to follow what everybody else is doing.
What could you possibly do? Stand out of the crowd and make your efforts remarkable, like for instance you should learn on how to write a remarkable post and then make it an habit of creating quality posts.
Have a good day now, will you?
SEO Tools for Bloggers and Affiliate Marketers

SEO Tools for Bloggers and Affiliate Marketers.
There are basic SEO tools that any blogger or affiliate marketer should have in order to create a website or blog that is well optimized for the search engines and has an equal chance to compete with other millions of sites with relatively the same content, product or service.
Most bloggers and affiliate marketer make a huge terrible mistake of never trying to learn a thing about search engine optimization either out of fear, due to ignorance or lack of competence on their part.
I’m not advocating that each and every blogger or internet affiliate marketer should all become SEO experts.
No that is not what I mean, rather in order to maximize your blog or website page ranking and consequently the level of organic search engine traffic you are able to attract; there are some basic and fundamental search engine optimization knowledge that need to be acquired.
Do you need to use SEO tools?
When I started out with internet marketing, I knew nothing about search engine optimazation. At that time all I did was to go to Yahoo to check or send an email and play games. Common day terms like SEO, HTML, CSS, Links and many more were all foreign terms to me.
The more I started getting involved with affiliate marketing, the more I researched and became involved with building blogs and websites, then the more it became clear to me that in order to succeed and become the best in any niche, one had to acquire more superior and quality knowledge and stop to sorely rely on what you see is what you get HTML editors for their SEO purposes.
Why?
- Because for one, a lot of your competition can easily be trounced over by literally applying one more technique that the majority of your competitors are not using.
- Secondly, most of your competitors with time prefer to operate within the comfort zone, doing the same old techniques that at times ceased to function long time ago.
By learning some basic fundamental search engine optimization techniques and using the right SEO tools you will literally cut your competition by a huge chunk that can get as high as 50-80 %.
SEO Tools Kit.
Let face it, there are thousands of places and thousands of SEO experts that are ready to help you if you are willing to pay them a certain fee. In most cases though, these are time based contracts that lapse within a set duration or after a given number of pages.
Besides, the fee you get charged can get exorbitantly high depending on the kind of SEO firm you approach or how highly on demanded the SEO expert is in that particular SEO market.
Yet the simple fact is that with the constant change in search engine ranking criterion, search engine optimization is not a onetime set-up and forget technique. SEO is an ongoing activity.
You don’t need any of that.
The truth is that you will probably be wasting your money and time.
As a blogger or affiliate marketer, you are the best placed person that knows the inside and outside details of the contents of your site, its products and services, the industry and niche and competitors than any outside consultant can possible know. (Unless of course, yours’ is a multimillion website employing a group of specialized consultants working 24/7 for you.)
Because of your extensive knowledge above, you are the best placed person to promote your site using one of the best known SEO tools kit in the market.
By training to advance your level of knowledge and understanding of SEO techniques you will be able to influence and determine with passage of time, how high your page rank will get to and the amount of traffic that comes along from a well optimized page.
Start putting your search engine techniques and start to see your page rank improve, your traffic level increase and beat your competition by learning more about SEO tools and training.
For now it might seem a little bit intimidating and time consuming but I assure you the knowledge you acquire by training your self in understanding search engine optimization techniques is priceless. Six months down the line you would look back and be thankful.
New Feature on Google Keyword Tool

I’m sure by now you have heard about the new feature that has been added to Google keyword tool. Previously the tool used to return only little bar graphs on their search results.
With the new feature that has been added, you now get real numbers whenever you conduct a search using the newly redesigned Google keyword tool. Here is a picture snap shot of how the results actually look like.

So why is there so much excitement in town about this new feature?
1.) For one, with the new added feature, the timing has never been perfect considering that Yahoo Overture tool has finally been put to rest.
2.) Secondly, by including numbers on its result instead of bar graphs, the tool has become an even more useful source of data for conducting basic keywords research.
3.) Finally, it’s still totally free. This of course comes in handy for those affiliate marketers or any other webmaster that is operating under a shoe string budget and recognizes the importance of using keywords in any of their online campaigns.
- The obvious question then, is now what!
- Is there any more need for paid keyword tools?
I belief this is going to be a major debate question for the next couple of months as people become more familiar and get adapted to the new added feature on Google keyword tool.
I bet by now most affiliate marketers are already on it trying to test and compare the results generated by Google keyword tool against their own keyword toolkit.
Ken Evoy has published an interesting post entitled how to use Google’s new search volume data. On this post he talks about 10 key points to have in mind as you go about using or testing the new feature.
This post is particularly helpful to those of us who are proud users of SBI and most important to any serious affiliate marketer keen on succeeding with affiliate marketing business.
Internet marketing landscape changes so fast, there is always and will always be new features, new tools, new technologies, new software’s and just about anything new coming out each and every single day.
But success will always be defined by setting up goals and remaining focused, persistent and adopting the 80/20 rule while having a blind eye to all the internet noise, so I think!

Affiliate Marketing Tips Part 2
We started this interesting discussion about the 10 affiliate marketing tips to avoid. In the first part of this discussion we talked about the following five tips that you need to avoid:
- Procrastination.
- Lack of ambition.
- Being a perfectionist.
- Impromptu Buying.
- And lastly, being too stingy.
Today we want to pick up from where we left and finish off by discussing the remaining 5 tips. If you haven’t read part one of this post then I will encourage you to visit 10 winning affiliate marketing tips to avoid, it will help you be in a better perspective of what we discussed, where we are right now and where we are heading.
Alright let’s go on.
6.) Targeting the Wrong Market.
This one is tricky, so let me start off with it while my mind is still alert and you are cautious enough to read within the lines.
The right market, how do you choose one and how do you know that you are in one anyway? Can it be possible that there is a wrong market? And if there is one, could you be in it?
I guess this is not the right way to pick up with our conversation about affiliate marketing tips, but well – those are a zillion dollar questions that I have just thrown there to you.
And I’m not going to give you answers. There are way too many that have been provided. But allow me to throw this challenge to you.
There is no wrong or right market.
It all starts with you, by discovering who you are, and then making a decision that is simple, straight forward and as logical as it gets.
You decide on one central thing and then make it happen.
Now a lot of people decide on way too many numerous issues but they never take the effort to make any of them come to pass. If there is any wise thing that should encourage you to focus and succeed with your internet marketing business, then it’s what I have just alluded between the lines above.
You are who you chose to be and so is your affiliate marketing business, your market or your products. You chose then it happens.
The following two affiliate marketing tips are closely intertwined.
7.) Going alone.
Affiliate marketing is like owning and operating your own independent agent – your own affiliate marketing business. Just like any successful business, you must interact with other businesses like yours or related to your industry.
You must talk to your clients and visitors. You must network. You must seek and read about other affiliate marketing tips. In other words you cannot succeed by isolating yourself.
Perhaps you might want to do a joint venture, or you might be interested in recruiting other affiliate marketers to promote your new product. Maybe you might want to join in forum discussions any other place that affiliate marketers hang out or ask questions about affiliate marketing tips that can help you.
8.) Lack of growth on your part.
If you have been in this business for a while by now you do know how often marketing strategies change. Affiliate marketing tips that worked today will most probably work tomorrow. Here is a funny affiliate marketing video to demonstrate this point.
You might want to educate yourself more about affiliate marketing tips and other aspects of affiliate marketing by buying new materials out there about workable internet affiliate marketing tips and strategies or perhaps you might want to join internet marketing forums so as to stay in tune with the good strategies that you can use to grow your affiliate marketing business.
I cannot help to over emphasis this point that these two affiliate marketing tips should be avoided at all costs. why? Because these two affiliate marketing tips have a great degree is shaping and defining you, who you are and what you stand for.
To succeed with affiliate marketing you must define yourself first and then you must do all that you can to continually improve yourself.
The more you define and understand yourself, the more you know what you stand for and the more you improve on yourself the higher the chances that you will be the next super affiliate.
Why? Because you have something unique to offer - You are different. That’s one of the aspects and traits that make one a super affiliates.
9.) Settling for less.
Most of the time it makes little or no sense both from a personal and economical point of view to work so hard as an affiliate marketer to make one sale that does not commensurate to the amount of work put into it. Never settle for less - that will be my second last affiliate marketing tips to avoid.
As much as you want to play the delicate balance between affiliate marketing help on one side and affiliate marketing business on the other hand, let it be your goal and custom not to settle for less than what you deserve or your visitors deserve.
If the affiliate program you are promoting does not appreciate your effort by paying you better commissions that commensurate with the product’s price, then I tell you, leave. Get something that does.
10.) Balancing Life and Work.
Finally, let us windup the list of affiliate marketing tips to avoid.
Money is a powerful driving force. When you are not making any, you read stories about successful super affiliates and you desperately want to be like them.
When you start making a few dollars here and there, you now start to ask yourself, what if I can do this, what if I spend a few more hours to do this and that. What if I started another blog, now the - what if’s soon become a list of time consuming activities.
Finally when you have the money, probably you will be divorced by then…no I’m joking. You ask yourself now what!
Of course it is an open secret. You have to work hard especially as an affiliate marketer in order to succeed. But care should be taken to how you treat and allocate time between you, your family and your affiliate marketing business.
It’s your call to make sure that you balance and walk this delicate line otherwise what will it be worth to any affiliate marketer if you become the next super millionaire affiliate and no one is there to hug and celebrate with?
Or you just end up dropping dead by working yourself too hard?
I hope these affiliate marketing tips will help you gain both sides of the world.
